What’s Happening at A Grade Ahead?

The New School Year Starts on June 5th!

As the days get longer and the weather turns warmer, A Grade Ahead of Central Ohio’s teachers and administrative staff are getting ready for another wonderful year of learning. The new school year kicks off on June 5th, and, although we are continuing to offer both in-person and virtual classes to our Central Ohio students, we have opened more in-person classes this year.

Whether we are meeting our students in person or virtually, though, our teachers will introduce new students to classroom routines and get them off to a strong start. We will make sure our students have solid lessons, practice new ideas in class, and give students plenty of opportunities to ask questions and be engaged. For more information about scheduling in the Central Ohio area, please contact our office or sign up on our website. Our talented staff is happy to help you register your returning student or get started with AGA!

We are also excited to announce that there will be more study sessions available throughout the week this year for students who want a little extra help with their homework. For more details, contact us.

Enrichment At Home Opportunities

June 5th starts a new school year for the Enrichment at Home students as well. We continue to encourage our Enrichment at Home students to join virtual classes with our highly qualified Central Ohio teachers.

AGA’s 2023 Summer Coloring Contest

Our Central Ohio and Enrichment at Home families should look for an announcement about the 2023 Summer Coloring Contest! This year’s scene encourages students to imagine themselves having fun on the beach. AGA students enrolled for the month of July will have until July 31st to submit their completed pages. Those who do will be entered to win a gift card. Stay tuned for more details!

Our Expanding Blended-Learning Curriculum

AGA’s curriculum department is also hard at work preparing new blended-learning programs for 8th Grade English and Geometry. Both classes will have a paper and pencil (Traditional) Lesson on the first day in class and online homework. This challenging and rewarding project has kept the emphasis on the writing that characterizes our 8th Grade English curriculum while also modifying it for online learning. Similarly, our content creators are bringing fresh approaches to helping students learn geometry online as well as on paper. Check out our website for more about our Blended-Learning Program.

Summer Camp Excitement

Here in Central Ohio, we are getting ready to lead 7 weeks of summer camp fun at the Wellington School and the Columbus Academy. In addition to our MathVenture, MathVenture Jr. and Eco-Explorers camps, we are excited to introduce the brand-new Time Traveler Tales. This camp will focus on building writing skills as well as delving into history, geography, and world affairs. For more information about these camps, contact us.

Meet Our New Franchise Owners

Here at A Grade Ahead, we are always excited to have new franchise owners on board! We have recently welcomed Nisha Poladia as our Louisville, KY franchise owner, and Parth & Mansi Mehta as our Bear, DE owners. They have told us why they wanted to open an AGA academy:

Parth & Mansi:
What made you want to open an AGA academy?

“The short answer is our deep interest in kids’ developmental activities. We have always enjoyed spending time with the kids, be it their extracurricular activities or academic development. Couple of years back we sent our son to an A Grade Ahead center after hearing good things about it and doing thorough research about other competitors. In 2022, when we started to look around for something to do in our free time, the obvious answer was a tutoring academy. One more time, after scouting for different tutoring franchises, A Grade Ahead was our natural inclination.”

Nisha:
What made you want to open an AGA academy?

“I have been a loyal parent to A Grade Ahead academy for the last 8 years. Over the years, I have seen remarkable progress with my kids. My firm belief in the AGA curriculum and its teaching model inspired me to open a franchise to cater the needs of aspiring families.”

Annual Party Shows Off Our Creative Sides

In April, our staff participated in a “sip and paint” at our annual staff party. Led by our wonderful and creative teacher manager, Nicole Acevedo, we learned to mix colors and successfully painted a mountain scene. As always, good food, good company, and a lot of fun was had by all.
